EBS (www.ebs.tv) is a leading provider of quality TV scheduling data for EPG, web and press media across the television industry. We are now looking to add to our highly talented team and this permanent, full-time position is based in our office in Baldock, North Hertfordshire.
Web Developer & IT Support
A love of technology and creating sites/web apps is essential for this role; you should consider computing a hobby and a vocation rather than purely a job as we require someone dynamic, flexible with the ability to resolve issues in configuring sites, tools, scripts, routers, firewalls and general computer issues. The successful applicant will be a resourceful problem solver and will be able to work independently as well as being a good team player.
The right person for this challenging position will be able to support and develop internal software systems and dynamic database driven applications for the broadcast industry.
Desired Skills
• Classic ASP
• JavaScript
• SQL Server/MySQL
• JSON / Ajax
• XSL / XSLT
• HTML
• IT Support – including general PCs, MS Server Technology / Network Support, Internet, MS Exchange
Required Experience
• Commercial experience
• Building and maintaining modern web apps
• Experience in social media, Facebook, Twitter etc.
Knowledge/experience in the following would also be advantageous
• C/C++
• Open source technologies
• Experience in working on collaborative projects (with more than one developer)
• Experience in the broadcast industry
